Currently, China is the best country at gymnastics. However, Nastia Luikin (of the U.S.) is currently the best all around gymnast in the world.

gymnastics began in ancient Greece. The ancient Greeks considered physical fitness to be a very important part of their life and they built gymnasia and courtyards in every city of ancient Greece for the purpose of jumping, running and wrestling.Gymnastics was spread in the period between the latter half of the eighteenth century and the first half of the nineteenth century.

backhandspring: you jump back into an arched handstand and pull your body up . giant: when you keep swinging around the bars in a handstand flyaway: when you fly off the bar into a backtuck/layout and stick it . backtuck: a back flip in the air brani: front tuck half turn full: front or back tuck and then do a 360
ariel: a cartwheel with no hands . backwalkover: go backwards into a bridge and kickover...!!!

world championships

on the 13th to 18th of October 2009 the World Gymnastic Championships will be held in London for the first time. The championships will give a strong indication of which world gymnasts will be representing their positions in 2012, and who will be competeing ageinst them. The Championships will see outstanding performances from the best gymnasts in the world representing China, Japan, USA, Romania, Russia, Poland, France, PRK, Korea, Croatia, Spain, Germany, Great Britain, Ukraine and Uzbekistan, along with many other strong gymnastics countrys.
I am looking forward to seeing this.

Trampoline Gymnastics

Tramploline Gymnastics was one of my favorite types of gymnastics when i did it. In trampoline, gymnasts perform high-flying flips and twists on every bounce. It became an Olympic discipline for the 2000 Olympics, under gymnastics.

The youngest gymnast in the United States of America on the 2008 Olympic gymnastics team is Shawn Johnson. She is sixteen years old. The oldest gymnast who participated in the Beijing Olympics when Jordan Jovchev, he is from Bulgarian , he particpated for the fifth time in the Olympics. He will be 34 years old in the next olympics.
